TBAI believes that partnerships with stakeholders, individuals and institutions can lead to better impact and outcomes. Therefore this component is given important focus and is at three levels.
Partnerships with communities and community groups are basic and very vital for TBAI. These include :
TB Patients, their caregivers, other community volunteers such as key opinion leaders, patient advocates, community structures such as Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Unions and community volunteers.
Healthcare providers from the private sector, chemists and rural healthcare providers.
A significant and long standing partnership is with National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) at the national, state and district levels. TBAI tries to ensure that maximum number of presumptive TB patients access the NTEP services, get diagnosed, access treatment and complete it.
Partnerships with NGOs where resources and capacities are pooled for greater impact and collaborative work.
