TB Alert India (TBAI) is a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of tuberculosis (TB) and the improvement of lung health across India. Established in 2004, we work with communities, government systems, private health providers, industries, and local leaders to ensure that no one is left behind in the fight against TB.

Over the years, our interventions have expanded across nine states and union territories, reaching millions of people through awareness, screening, treatment support, and advocacy. From urban slums and industrial belts to remote rural and tribal regions, TBAI has built innovative and scalable models that empower communities and strengthen health systems.

Vision and Mission

At TB Alert India (TBAI), we are guided by the vision of a “TB-Free India,” where every individual has the opportunity to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Our mission is to end tuberculosis (TB) while addressing co-morbidities, non-communicable diseases, and chronic lung conditions through innovative, inclusive, and comprehensive approaches.

We leverage AI-enabled tools and community-driven strategies to tackle not only medical needs but also the psychosocial, socio-economic, and emotional barriers that hinder access to quality care. By placing people at the center of our efforts, we strive to create sustainable, equitable health solutions that improve outcomes and strengthen communities.

Our Purpose

Tuberculosis is not just a medical condition—it carries deep social, emotional, and psychological burdens, including stigma, isolation, and financial hardship. At TB Alert India, we go beyond diagnosis and treatment to address these often-overlooked challenges through compassionate, patient-centered, and cost-effective solutions. We strive to ensure that every individual affected by TB feels supported, respected, and empowered throughout their journey to recovery and well-being.

Recognizing the strong clinical and epidemiological links between TB and co-morbidities such as diabetes, HIV, and other chronic lung diseases, our purpose has evolved into delivering a comprehensive and integrated health service model. We work across tuberculosis, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and chronic respiratory diseases (CRDs) to provide holistic, continuum-of-care solutions that improve overall health outcomes and quality of life.
