Small Efforts make Big Impact: Transforming Community Health

TB Alert India (TBAI) works to strengthen community health systems by addressing tuberculosis alongside co-morbidities such as non-communicable diseases (diabetes and hypertension), chronic respiratory diseases like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and mental health conditions. Our approach is comprehensive, preventive, and patient-centered, ensuring holistic care for vulnerable communities.

Join Us in Advancing Community Health!

At TB Alert India (TBAI), we are transforming lives by strengthening community health systems through an Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) model—addressing tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases, and non-communicable diseases through a unified and holistic framework. We prioritize vulnerable populations, including urban slum communities, industrial and construction workers, migrants, and those in remote rural and tribal areas.

Our outreach programs empower communities with essential health awareness—enabling early recognition of symptoms, promoting preventive practices, reducing stigma, and facilitating timely access to diagnostic and treatment services.

By bridging communities with government health systems and promoting early diagnosis and integrated care, we actively contribute to the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) while strengthening broader public health efforts.

Testimonials

TBAI believes in the power of community members to effect change. Therefore it has worked extensively with cured TB patients, key opinion leaders and other influencers.

Your support fuels our mission to end TB and empower communities.

Parveen’s Story

I’ve worked so hard for TB, my family jokes that I’m no longer interested in my household. But it is important work, and I am proud to do it. People come together in the slums when I visit. They bring presumptive TB cases to me when they see symptoms. They trust us to help them.

Madhu Babu’s Story

TB Alert India supported us in carrying out Active Case Finding (ACF) activities in a very efficient manner. I have requested the support of the TBAI and TB Alert India team in our future campaigns as well and am happy to hear that they will be extending their support in Ranga Reddy District.

Parveen Ayesha’s Story

I knew two ladies who died of TB. They couldn’t even tell us women that they had the disease. Our people are dying of shame, instead of going to the doctor. I want support to bring them out of their houses, and get them free treatment.
